Day Club

Bring your sewing machine and a smile for a fun day out. Learn new techniques, new products, feet etc. and take your sewing know-how to new heights. These classes are always challenging and stimulating and always different. Click here to see what is on offer during the year. Click here to see the projects and requirements for each month.

Overlocking Workshop

This series of workshops run over 4 weeks and helps you master your overlocker. The course includes care and maintenance of your overlocker, threading, working with various fabrics, turning inside- and outside corners, flatlocking, decorative finishes and much more. By the end of the course you will have a project to take home, using all the techniques you have learned.

Quilting Techniques

If you've always wanted to quilt, but have been scared off by the free-motion stippling part, then this is for you. In this 2-part course you will learn various techniques like cross-hatch, echo quilting and stippling.

Textile Art Club

If you want to do something different with your sewing, then this is for you. Create unique pieces of work using unusual methods. Boost your creativity and have some fun! Every month will be different.

Compute and Sew

Get the most out of your sewing software by joining these classes. Learn the tips and tricks to create beautiful and unique embroideries for garments, home decor and gifts.

We now offer separate classes for those who have 4D Embroidery Artist or 4D Embroidery Suite.

Dressmaking

Learn to create your own clothes at a fraction of the price of designer-clothes. Learn how to read patterns, insert zippers, create waistbands, insert sleeves and much more. You decide what you want to sew (appropriate to your skill-level) and just come and keep on learning.

Embroidery Diva's (Pfaff 2100 series owners) and Embroidery Queens (Pfaff Creative Vision owners)

Learn your machine. These machines have so many functions and most of us never explore the full use of what they can do. These classes are demonstrations only - no need to bring your machine to class. Notes will be provided.

Special Classes

From time to time, we run a series of special classes if there is a call for them. These will be advertised in our Newsletter (so please subscribe) and are also listed on the class schedule.

Events

We regularly have special Events or Guest Lecturers, offering new ideas, products and techniques that you may be interested in. Stay informed with our time-sheet or join our mailing list for automatic notifications. To join, just e-mail us at zigzagsewing@mac.com with your name and address and just put in the subject header.
